I had someone come up to me in Sainsburys the other day who had been to Whitby, sat on Sophie's bench and was touched/saddened by her story. Was encouraging to see that both Sophie and the campaign are still affecting and being remembered by those outside the goth community. It reinforced how all any of us can ever be is ourselves and how none of us should have to pay that high a price for it.
Look in the mirror. What do you see? Is it yourself? Is it a stranger? Or is it just simply me?

I hadn't realise that Simon Armitage released the poetry for Black Roses: The Killing of Sophie Lancaster to buy as a book this month:

Wonderful wonderful poem.
