Signed it the other day, it's disgraceful how someone could be treated in this way. The murderers obviously have no humanity in them and especially coming from a country that is known for its freedoms and its tolerances. Can I donate to it, it won't be much as I have no money, but I feel so strongly about this that I can't let this go by.

Whatever you can give, David, no matter how large, or how small, is still precious and important.

There is an excellent full page article at the back of this month's 'Alternative' magazine titled 'Sophie's Legacy'. There are quotes from Sylvia and OldGoth and it highlights the abuse and trouble people from the alternative community are suffering - also gives the web address of the petition.

I can't afford to make the trip- but I'll remind my flatmates about it, and make sure everyone gives some thought to Sophie on the day.

I'll post this as a seperate thread too but thought i'd pop the news in here too.

Had a letter tofday from Scarborough Borough Council to say that they've got the application form and they expect that the bench ewill be in place by the end of January. A month later than they told me on the phone and not in time for AANYE but at least we're moving forward.

Seem to have had a jump of topic here. :? Supposed to be about Sophies memorial. Now seems to be some eejits using it for free publicity for a magazine. The captain thinks they should show a little more respect.....
