Halloween 2012

Post by oldgoth » Thu Nov 10, 2011 12:33 pm

Yeah, I know, we've only just had this one and we still have April to plan for, but by way of a small tip off, and since some of you may have noticed the new banner on the front of the website, I thought I'd let everyone know that is planning on attending that like it says, WGW will run from Wednesday 31st October for this event to take advantage of the fact that there are usually few people in town anyway and well, its Halloween!

If you turn up on the Wednesday next year then there will be something for you to do. The weekend will still finish on the Monday night, bonfire night, and as son as we know what's going on, we'll let you know.

Book early, party longer!

Thanks to the "glorious" reunification of the weekends (not) accomidation is like hens teeth.... good luck everyone in the scrum. Just about managed to get one in my comfort zone for twice what we paid this year because it is half term

To say one is not amused is an understatement...

Is it truely THAT bad already?
I don't know if I want to go to November yet, because I haven't been to WGW ever so far, and going in April will be my first ever event! But it seems perhaps I need to book NOW, and take a chance on cancelling if I have to later! Seems that if accommodation is really that tight, I'd have not a lot of trouble in 'passing on' a room to someone else.

Perhaps people should get together to hire some of the 'bigger' cottages, that the families on holiday do not want? (I count myself OUT of that idea, because no one is gonna want to share accommodation with an old bloke like me, who wants 8 hours of sleep, and tends to get up at about 06.30am no matter what! LOL). I know group bookings are more difficult because of names and insurance considerations, but if ALL the names are on the booking, then the rental companies should be able to do it.

New here so here goes, been looking in for ages but never got around to joining, though we've been to the WGW several times.

We'll be there all week, mainly because we're getting married on Halloween while we're up there, woohoo! /cheers
