I read. It sounds splendid, I can't wait :)
And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time, lost in space
And meaning.

It appears that The Mission have leaked the news early, so if you can find that you can get a copy before the 'official' release date... :D

Just heard a bit of The Mission song on their myspace page and as a true diehard Mish fan I can honestly say......that it's bloody awful.

Still, won't stop me getting the CD though.

Thanks for the positive advertising...

I'm glad you'll still buy it, although, as a die hard mish fan its the only way you'll get a copy of that song, which is surely the important thing?

Seriously though, as someone who hated 'Blue', from which this song was rejected, I thougth it was a far better track than 90% of those that actually made the cut

Thanks for the feedback, and the promotion. Sadly thought unless someone comes up with a way of pressing it for free there will not be any physical copies.

Just a thought.

You do a link to the tracks and the art work. The Artwork is layed out like all the inserts for the cd, including folding lines or cut lines etc. You can then charge for the musical download but attach the art work to the download so that the buyer can then print off all the covers etc, burn the tracks off to a CD and have a hard copy for prosperity.

I've seen it done before but don't know how to do it. Like I said, just a thought at this stage.

As someone who's presently working on a charity album (to raise money for people who suffer in natural disasters such as the Haiti earthquake etc.). We made the album available to buy online (for a voluntary donation) and I suggested that only if people donated £8 or more, they would be able to also download the cover artwork.

It does seem a good way to do it and it's simple enough to set up an easy to download .pdf file.

Alternatively, just design your own (like I did for the unreleased Phantom Chords album I've managed to collect most of the tracks from over the years).

When you buy the album, you get the artwork for free in the zip file with the tracks.. The cover is designed to be printed both sides, and the same with the tray liner.

I'm nice like that!

Here you go.. the 'official' spam

On August 24th 2007 20 year old Sophie Lancaster lost her fight for life, she had been attacked for the simple act of looking different, and died trying to protect her boyfriend from a vicious attack.

Two years after her death a conversation took place between myself and Andi Sex Gang, who suggested that I release an album to be sold to raise funds for the charity set up by Sophie's mother, Sylvia, The Sophie Lancaster Foundation (www.sophielancasterfoundation.com).

That album, released on May 22nd, in conjunction with World Goth Day (www.worldgothday.com), features a host of big names from the goth and dark alternative scenes, all of whom have very generously donated tracks free of charge and with no expectation of payment from the sale of the album. Two of the tracks (from Autumn Cannibals & Uninvited Guest) are songs written specifically for the charity and inspired by it, and three of the tracks have to date, never been released. (The Mission, Anne Marie Hurst and the remix by UK Decay). The cover art was provided by Joolz.

The album is available for $12.00 (approx £8.00 / 9.50 euros) from Stay Indie and 100% of the cost will be paid straight to the Foundation, who work towards the understanding and tolerance of different subcultures through education and workshops in schools and colleges, and are campaigning for a change to the UK hate crime laws.

The album is available for download here - http://www.stayindie.com/Hope

Remember.. SOPHIE - Stamp Out Prejudice Hatred and Intolerance Everywhere.

Thank you,

DOn't know if their website was having some problems, but it took several attempts over a couple of days, with 3 different email addresses to manage to sign up. All seems to be working fine now though. Great CD, many thanks to all those who put the hard work in to make it happen.
